Position Details

Accounts & Office Administrator- Skokie, IL

Location : Skokie, IL 60076 - On-site

Project Duration : Full-time permanent

Salary : $55,000/yr.

Note: OPT candidates with 1–5 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration will be highly considered.

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a motivated Accounts & Office Administrator to support the accounting, administrative, and operational functions across multiple businesses, including gaming operations, retail gas stations, and fuel distribution. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates, entry-level professionals, or OPT candidates looking to build a long-term career in accounting and business operations.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. The company is open to sponsoring a work visa after 12 months of successful employ ment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
• Perform accurate data entry and maintain accounting records.
• Support daily accounting and bookkeeping functions.
• Provide general office administration and operational support across multiple business entities.
• Manage and maintain insurance policies, renewals, and related documentation.
• Prepare reports, organise files, and maintain business records.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. CPA is nice to have.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.Candidates with 3–5 years of accounting/administrative experience are also welcome.
• OPT visa candidates are welcome, with the opportunity for work visa sponsorship after 12 months of successful employment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, including AP and AR.Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and support multiple business operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with accounting software is a
• plus.Previous experience in retail, gaming, convenience store, or fuel distribution industries is beneficial but not required.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced business environment.
