Job Title: Locum Tenens General Dentist

Job Overview:

We are seeking an operational General Dentist for an urgent, high-priority locum tenens assignment. This role is ideal for a clinician who enjoys an efficient workflow, supported by a fully equipped office and dedicated team. The practice utilizes modern dental technology, including Dentrix software, a Medit scanner, and intra-oral cameras.

You will be supported by two full-time dental assistants working across two active operatories.

Schedule & Shift Details:

• Days: Monday through Thursday (No weekends).
• Hours: 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Shift Structure: Standard 8-hour days with a dedicated midday break (7:45 AM - 12:00 PM morning block).
• Call Requirements: Scheduled clinic hours only; No call responsibilities.
• Block Scheduling: No.

Clinical Duties & Scope:

This is a standard general dentistry practice focusing on high-quality, routine patient care. The clinical scope includes:

• Comprehensive exams.
• Restorative work (preps and fillings).
• Periodontal charting and scaling/root planing.
• Occasional prophylaxis.
• Select surgical extractions.
• Note: No endodontics or implant procedures are required.
  
  

Compensation:

• Hourly Rate: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience).
• Travel: Travel and lodging expenses are covered.

Position Requirements:

• Active State Dental License.
• Active DEA registration.
• Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) if applicable by state law.
• Prior hands-on experience with Dentrix software and digital scanning equipment is highly preferred.
