Director of Restaurants
Location: Austin, Texas
Salary: $110,000 – $120,000

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and service-focused Director of Restaurants to lead a portfolio of 7+ dining venues, including restaurants, lounges, and in-room dining operations generating roughly $30M in annual revenue. This leadership role oversees a team of approximately 10 direct reports and is responsible for driving operational consistency, financial performance, and outstanding guest experiences.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on hospitality professional who combines strategic leadership with day-to-day operational awareness. Success in this position requires strong multi-unit management experience, the ability to develop leaders, and a commitment to maintaining high service standards in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Leadership:

  • Direct daily operations across all restaurant, bar, and in-room dining outlets.
  • Ensure consistent quality, service standards, and brand presentation.
  • Implement operational initiatives that improve efficiency, guest satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Maintain full compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Financial Oversight:

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Evaluate financial results, identify trends, and execute action plans to improve performance.
  • Oversee labor management including payroll, scheduling, and productivity controls.
  • Monitor revenue and expense targets to meet profitability goals.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Supervise and mentor restaurant managers and supervisory leaders.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train team members across all levels of the operation.
  • Establish performance goals and conduct evaluations with ongoing coaching.
  • Foster a culture centered on accountability, growth, and service excellence

Guest Experience:

  • Promote a guest-first service philosophy throughout all outlets.
  • Review feedback and implement improvements to enhance satisfaction scores.
  • Coordinate with culinary and operations teams to deliver memorable dining experiences.
  • Support the planning and execution of special events and promotional initiatives.

Marketing & Brand Alignment:

  • Collaborate with marketing partners to support promotions and traffic-driving initiatives.
  • Ensure each outlet reflects brand standards and a cohesive guest experience.
  • Use reporting and operational data to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in multi-unit restaurant or hotel food & beverage operations.
  • Demonstrated success overseeing $20M+ in annual revenue.
  • Strong understanding of P&L management, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop management teams.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with scheduling platforms, payroll systems, and restaurant management software.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a high-volume, service-driven environment.
