Title: General Ledger Accountant (Part-Time)
Year: 2026-2027 School Year
FLSA: Exempt
The position includes duties as a General Ledger Accountant supporting the Business Office team and being an active contributor to the overall growth of St. Thomas High School.

THOMAS HIGH SCHOOL St. Thomas High School, an all-boys private, Catholic college-preparatory school for grades 9-12 in Houston, Texas actively seeking to fill the position of Testing Center Assistant for the conclusion of the 2026-2027 school year. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES - General Ledger Reporting
- Record Journal Entries
- Prepare Monthly Financial Reports
- Prepare Monthly Budget Reports
- Produce requested Budget Reports for Budget Holders
- Reconcile and maintain Fixed Assets, Aging Accounts Payable, Tuition Receivables, and Pledge Receivable Accounts
- Input and Maintain Budget Data
- Prepare specific reports requested by President, VP of Finance, or Controller
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: This position requires a professional to:
- Experience in General Ledger and financial statements and reporting
- Knowledge in MS applications with proficiency in Excel
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Required: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
*CPA not required
WORKING CONDITIONS Work is done in an office environment. You will work certain events throughout the year, some of these events are held in evenings and on weekends.
