Job Title: Industrial Electrician
Job Description

This position is responsible for repairing, maintaining, and installing equipment as well as performing routine maintenance and electrical repairs throughout the facility. The role involves troubleshooting industrial controls, three-phase motor circuits, and basic electrical systems, as well as installing, maintaining, modifying, and repairing electrical distribution systems and associated equipment. You will work with wiring, hook-ups, disconnect switches, push buttons, circuit panels, breakers, suppressors, and transformers, utilizing blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer's installation manuals to complete projects. Additionally, you will assist with the installation of new electrical equipment or modifications to existing equipment and identify opportunities for electrical system improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot industrial controls, three-phase motor circuits, and basic electrical systems.
  • Install, maintain, modify, and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment.
  • Wire and hook up disconnects, switches, push buttons, circuit panels, breakers, suppressors, and transformers.
  • Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete projects.
  • Assist with the installation of new electrical equipment or modifications to existing equipment.
  • Identify opportunities for electrical system improvements and communicate them to supervisors.
  • Recognize and act upon incidents and safety risks, consistently practicing and enforcing safe work habits.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 6 months industrial electrical experience, including PLC, VFD, Analog, and advanced electrical controls experience.
  • Comfortable and experienced in using hand and power tools of all varieties.
  • Ability to accurately use and read a tape measure and industrial blueprints.
  • Basic knowledge and safety understanding of electrical components.
  • Knowledge of basic math, including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and calculating percentages.
  • Skill in using a personal computer and various software applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment ranging from 45-50 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner with all plant employees, third party vendors, and contractors.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, scissors lift, or other powered equipment or machinery as needed.
  • Ability to consistently practice and enforce safe working habits.
  • Ability to recognize safety risks and comply with all safety standards.
  • Ability to work with a group of technicians or autonomously with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must pass required physical demonstrating the ability to lift required weight.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for the entire 8-hour shift.
  • Must wear correct job-specific PPE as designated by company policy.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $66560.00 - $89440.00/yr.
