Maintenance Technician

Elwood Staffing is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Hughes Springs! Mon-Fri 2p-10:30p $20-28/hr!

Maintenance Technician Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $20.00 to $28.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• Second Shift ( Monday through Friday from 02:00pm to 10:30pm )

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing issues
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical components, motors, controls, and wiring
• Diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs to minimize downtime
• Service HVAC systems and other building maintenance needs
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Complete work orders and maintenance documentation using a computerized maintenance system (CMMS)
• Identify and report safety concerns while following all safety procedures
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests
• Operate hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and other maintenance machinery
• Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and continuous improvement projects

Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

• Previous industrial maintenance experience required
• Experience troubleshooting electrical systems, PLCs, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
• Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, and mechanical systems
• Ability to diagnose and repair production equipment efficiently
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in an industrial environment
