Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly disciplined Technical Project Manager with a strong engineering mindset and a proven track record of delivering complex, multi‑stakeholder technology projects within enterprise environments. The ideal candidate comes from a Global System Integrator (GSI) or Big‑4 consulting background, brings structured delivery rigor, and thrives in fast‑paced environments with tight deadlines and high accountability.

This role is fully onsite in San Diego, CA , supporting cross‑functional engineering, product, and business teams to drive end‑to‑end project execution with precision, clarity, and ownership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full lifecycle project delivery across planning, execution, monitoring, and closure for engineering‑heavy initiatives.
  • Drive structured project governance, including RAID logs, weekly status reports, stakeholder alignment, and executive‑level communication.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable technical plans, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Manage cross‑functional engineering teams, vendors, and third‑party partners to ensure on‑time, high‑quality delivery.
  • Own project schedules, sprint planning, resource allocation, and milestone tracking with zero ambiguity.
  • Identify delivery risks early and implement mitigation strategies with urgency and clarity.
  • Maintain strict adherence to enterprise delivery frameworks, compliance, and documentation standards.
  • Facilitate technical discussions, architecture reviews, and engineering decision‑making with confidence.
  • Ensure seamless communication between engineering, product, operations, and leadership teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes, tooling, and execution discipline.

    Required Qualifications
  • 8–15 years of experience in technical project management , preferably within GSIs or Big‑4 consulting.
  • Strong engineering foundation — ability to understand architecture, APIs, integrations, cloud environments, and technical dependencies.
  • Proven experience managing large, multi‑phase, multi‑stakeholder projects with strict deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills — able to interface with engineers, executives, and clients with equal clarity.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering projects with structured methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid)
  • Strong command of project management tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.).
  • Ability to work 100% onsite, 5 days a week in San Diego, CA.
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasts, and project financials is a plus.
  • PMP, CSM, or equivalent certifications preferred but not mandatory.

    Preferred Attributes
    • Engineering‑first mindset with the ability to challenge assumptions and drive technical clarity.
    • High ownership, urgency, and accountability in delivery.
    • Comfortable working in environments with evolving requirements and tight timelines.
    • Strong stakeholder management and conflict‑resolution skills.
    • Experience working with distributed engineering teams across time zones.
    • Ability to simplify complex technical topics for non‑technical stakeholders.

    What We Offer

    • Full‑time, permanent role with competitive compensation.
    • Opportunity to lead high‑impact engineering programs in a fast‑moving environment.
    • Collaborative culture with strong executive visibility.
    • Growth opportunities across delivery leadership, program management, and engineering operations.
