Job Summary:
The Golf Course Irrigation Lead reports directly to the Golf Course Superintendent, and is responsible for operation and maintenence of the golf course irrigation systems. Daily management will include observation and operations of all irrigation related tasks and maintenance. Performance of repairs and managing special projects as needeed. Successful candidate will be willing to learn and develop as a leader at Park City. 

 

Job Specifications: 

  • Starting Wage: $22.00/hr - $26.55/hr
  • Employment Type: Summer Seasonal 2026
  • Shift Type: Full Time hours available
  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age
  • Housing Availability: No

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair, monitor and program all facets of the irrigation system including irrigation heads, controllers, PVC pipe, HDPE pipe, valves, pumps, and injection units.
  • Ability to complete work assignments in a clean and timely manner.
  • Enforces safe working conditions with all assignments related to his or her expected tasks.
  • Constantly monitors the irrigation system and reports problems and conditions to the First Assistant and/or Superintendent.
  • Ensures proper use, cleanliness, and security of maintenance facilities and equipment.
  • Ability to fill in for other golf maintenance positions when necessary.
  • Working as a team player with members of the maintenance and management groups.
  • Other duties as assigned 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Experience and working knowledge of the following is required:
  • Basic electricity and hydraulics related to automated irrigation. 
  • Light equipment operation-backhoe and tractor.
  • Repairs of all irrigation system components. 
  • Ability to lead and manage staff with a respectful and positive attitude a must.
  • Knowledge of tools, methods, and materials used in irrigation repair and installation, as well as general golf course maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to operate mowers, trucks, and light motorized equipment.
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

 

The expected pay range is $22.00/hr - $26.55/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
